Col U press conference started at 1pm

Nothing much you don't already know, though our version of events is that Lambert offered his resignation to Col U on Monday night which wasn't accepted. Couple of minutes of our chief executive thanking Lambert for his services to the club.

U's planning to go to a tribunal if agreement over compensation isn't reached, and want a hands off our players clause to last the rest of this season as part of the settlement.

BBC Essex have gone back to regular programme now but I'll try to keep you up to speed with any further news from our end.

Oddly enough, our messageboard's blown a fuse due to "unprecendented traffic". Rum ol' do, that.
