Just read Jim Nasium's essay....

He's made some excellent points alot of which I would find hard to dis-agree with. I do thinmk though that some suppoorters are talking as if we're going to get relegated and are about to go bust. Neither of which are going to happen. This is Nigel Worthington's first bad in season in English footballs second tier. Bad meaning we're mid table and are likely to finish around mid-table. In the close season there was simply far too much expectation and complacency. Alot of fans' dreams have been shattered because we haven't made a quick return to the premiership. We have no divine right to be promoted, although you wouldn't think so with some of the comments we get on here. We have alot of new faces in the squad and they need time to gel. My thoughts are that we need this season to be over quickly, get rid of the demons and negativity around the place, let the lads gel and everyone to get behind the team and find that spirit of 2002 and 2004. I believe we will find it and I hope it's under NW. He's a very strong determined individual, stubborn maybe, but he still has my full support. But let me make this clear. If it's a choice of keeping Worthy and getting relegated or changing the manager and staying up going on to bigger and better things, then I would say bye-bye Worthy.
