Dear Wrathers

You people need to realise that the one thing that players were missing was confidence - confidence in themselves and confidence in each other. This lack of confidence comes not from the board, not from the manager, but from the fans.

Look at poor Ian Henderson - he was the first to show the strain. A good, young player with stacks of talent who has just started to learn his trade. As soon as he makes an error, however, he has to put up with groans and moans from the crowd. It got to the stage where Nigel Worthington decided to not even play him at Carrow Road, and he just about managed to do a job despite the boo boys on the road.

This impatience from the fans spread to every other member of the squad, including Dean Ashton who had enough and packed his bags at Christmas. The fans will not be content until they have driven every player in the squad out of Norfolk.

But that's not your aim, is it? Oh no, you just want to get rid of one person, and you know the best way to do this is to ensure that he doesn't win another game by constantly haranguing him and his team. And why?

Because Worthington is a successful manager. Don't take my word for it, look at the stats. He took a relegation threatened team to the playoff finals, and then to the Premiership, all in the space of three short years.

Fickle fans of the web, hiding behind your computers and clever pseudonyms, you are jealous. Because you would like to be succesful managers. You judge signings on how well players perform on championship manager and you post team formations and tactics on here as if you were responsible for the coaching of the squad. You probably even have a blackboard next to your computer on which you can draw player movements and explain very complicated manouevres to you dog.

Grow up and get behind YOUR team and YOUR manager.
