Fairly obvious the big issue this summer has been wages.en
Assume all players got a very decent promotion bonus and an increase back to their wage prior to relegation, if not higher in some cases. It's not like most teams who come up like Burnley and Bournemouth whose players will be on much lower salaries:
Add in the fact we had a very bloated squad with the likes of Turner, Vadis, RVW, Hooper and Lafferty likely to be on huge wages considering their relatively unimportant statuses in the team qnenit was always likely we'd have to get rid of some before we brought in.
Clearly, we've been trying to shift ayers all summer without success and now we've had to get rid of one of the more key players as a consequence.
